Caving
Caving trip was quite fun, but we got quite cold because we were drenched. And no amount of clothes help if you are wet, so it was really cold. Caving wasn't too hard. We had to squeeze through a couple of narrow passages where the stream had cut through vertically, and there are only about 3 or 4 places where it was too high for us to climb without using the metal ladder. Well, I slipped a couple of times while climbing but thank goodness those are the times that I had my harness on so I was just dangling on the rope. We were in there for about 6 hours. When we were not muddy, we were wet.
Oh...and I drank from the stream inside the cave. The water is even clearer than that in the tap in the house that we live in. And by the way, at the end of the day, our tap water had turned from orange to red and I suspect that it is due to the day's caving activity as our water is from a stream somewhere.
And I'm amazed at how guys can just pee anywhere. Proper term : 'I'm going to turn my back on you for a while.' And then they literally do that, and pee on the hill! And wearing 2 layers of caving suits didn't seem to be inconvenient at all. Guys. So lucky. But thank goodness I didn't drink too much water to have to pee. And someone did it in the cave too, but I believe that I drank the water upstream and before he peeed. I hope other cavers don't do that.
Another thing to add...the cave is pitch dark of course, and I got this really lousy light that is orange so I couldn't see much of the beautiful stalagtites and stalamites, but my light was penetrating enough for me to navigate in the cave. Thank goodness.

This is the sunset on the way home.

We couldnt bring our cameras into the cave so this is generally what the cave looks like.

This is what we look like with our suite.

Me on my bed. The quality is really lousy, with just a mattress that looks horrendously dirty. Thank goodness I borrowed a sleeping bag.

This is the nice sunset on our way back on sunday too, earlier than the one above.

This is the hill that contains the cave system that we are going.
