Update
Interesting things that happened in lecture
1. Lecturer counted his toes
- well, it was to disprove some theory by the other prof, and i suspect the theory was that this prof did not have 5 toes, and hence the other prof was proven wrong .
2. Lecturer stood on a piston filled with sand and held up by a lousy piece of toilet paper at the end
- For this demonstration, the toilet paper did not break, despite the heavy weight on it. Supposed to demonstrate what friction is capable of holding up. Amazing. Especially after seeing my lecturer standing on it.
3. Bicycle wheel being suspended and spinning
- Supposed to demonstrate some force thing but I fell asleep for the rest of the lecture so cant remember
4. Spinning top that stays up
- so why do tops stay up when they spin
5. Some ball rolling off a slanted table top but not falling downwards or something like that
- argh...i cant remember why. i think i really have been sleeping too much in lectures. darn.
Now Audry says that everytime she eats meat, she sees tendon and er...whatever else they learn. Now I see bridges and toys and stuff, i think of forces and loads and tension and compression. Sigh. Occupational hazard.
2 hours of lecture today. whippee..my day has ended...except for supervision later.....
