Forbidden City

whoaho!!!!
Brilliant play.

Let's see, it's a tragedy but humour is injected in at suitable intervals. Hossan Leong and the other guy were acting as the recorders of history and boy, were they hillarious! Kit Chan's singing wasn't as powerful as I had expected, but was definitely worth every cent that I paid for the ticket. The caucasian lady who acted as the painter did a wonderful job as well. However, the songs weren't of a huge variety and the tune keeps repeating. Although this does have the effect of bringing flashbacks of previous scenes in my mind, and helps the audience contrast the two scenes.

Overall, highly recommended!
